The Camden Lady Lions captured another regional title Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Giles County 6-0 in Pulaski. The Lady Lions showed no signs of fatigue from finals week and the 120 mile drive as they jumped on the Bobcats 2-0 in the first inning and never looked back.

The Camden City Council passed the 2013-2014 budget with the first, second and third reading of an ordinance on Monday night May 13. The property levy was set at $1 per $100 assessed value on all real and personal property. Capital projects for the year include $1,600,000 for phase I of waste water treatment, $750,000 for water line relocation for Highway 70 east and $1,650,000 water meter replacement. The new budget takes effect July 1.
